The Adventure Learning Charity
The Adventure Learning Charity is a charity that allows people and organisations to achieve their potential. For people we achieve this through our empowering activity programmes that build confidence and teach life skills such as leadership and team work. We also offer employment and training opportunities to young people, to allow everyone to contribute to their communities and be the best that they can be. For organisations through our sister organisation, Gerutha, we encourage charities and social enterprises to work together to create programmes and access funding, as well as providing support that enables organisations to access the best people and the best systems to achieve their visions.
The Adventure Learning Charity and all of our partners provide unique training and employment to young people of all backgrounds and abilities. If you, your business or Trust are seeking to partner with an organisation that has, at its heart, learning and training opportunities for young people, we would love to hear from you. We are constantly striving to give young people the space to make positive decisions and be the very best that they can be. We have seen that by offering outdoor training in our beautiful settings and employment opportunities within our and our partner’s organisations, young people that were often written off are able to achieve great things and make positive contributions to their communities. We are already proud to have as our partners The Berkeley Foundation, who support our Adventure Learning Apprenticeship Programme, and would welcome your ideas as to how we can work with you.
Our work relies on the financial support of our partners. To continue to operate we need to raise £250k a year, which supports the training of 250,000 young people. To discuss further how you can help us create stronger communities, contact our CEO, Amanda Foister OBE on 020 3356 7133 or email@example.com
This year we launch our campaign to improve our accommodation at both Longridge and Green Park. At both sites the accommodation was built decades ago when the requirement was very different and of course over time the buildings have enjoyed the patter of hundreds of thousands of not so tiny feet – which has taken the inevitable toll. At Green Park we aim to refurbish the existing buildings, whilst at Longridge we will demolish the existing Gibbs & Dandy rooms and replace them with a new build that is flood proof as well as providing modern, well equipped bedrooms. If you can help in any way or would like to know more about our plans please get in touch with Amanda, as above. There is no such thing as a bad idea and please don’t assume we have thought of something – we probably haven’t!
Ways to Donate
We are a charity and the mains ways to donate are by sing our facilities and paying the ‘Charitable Donation’ price. This price is slightly higher than our standard pricing with the entire difference going directly to the Charity.
